SCoPE: Building a community of conservation pathologists across Asia

Wildlife pathology and disease surveillance play a critical role in mitigating the impact of diseases on endangered wildlife populations, as well as on humans, domestic animals, and the environment. Because wildlife diseases cross continents and international borders of South and Southeast Asia, conservation efforts need a cohesive regional wildlife pathology network. Existing expertise is isolated between scattered institutions, limiting conservationists’ ability to address broader, transboundary wildlife health challenges.
